How to take care of jewelry?
Jewelry, like anything beautiful, requires care and special care. Below you will find some tips to keep it shining for as long as possible.
Our products are made of sterling silver, and gold-plated versions are plated in 24K gold. The silver contains high-quality alloying additives (ligatures), which prevent the metal from silvering and increase the quality of the cast pieces.
Nevertheless, silver may become tarnished or lose its luster when exposed to various external factors. Silver should not be exposed to detergents and other aggressive chemicals (including perfumes and cosmetics). Silver is very sensitive to sulfur compounds in the air. It is advisable to store products in airtight and chemically neutral boxes, the manufacture of which did not use toxic adhesives, which very often contain sulfur compounds.
CLEANING
Superficial dirt can be removed with special cloths for silver and gold-plated silver. They contain chemicals in their structure, which gently clean and shine the surface of the metal.
We also recommend specialized liquids for cleaning jewelry. They very effectively remove all dirt and tarnish on the surface of the metal. You should choose a liquid adequate to the jewelry you own: gold-plated jewelry and jewelry with stones requires the use of liquids with a gentler effect than that made entirely of silver.
Cleaning with the wrong liquid can damage the plating surface or cause damage to natural stones or pearls.
We strongly discourage cleaning jewelry with toothpaste, baking soda, citric acid or other homemade methods. This can damage the surface of the metal and/or the plating, causing it to become stained and snowed over even faster.
